IB Organization Five-Year Review
Hello Fairview IB Community,
Every five years, an IB authorized school undergoes a program evaluation.  The IB Organization asks schools to conduct a self-study designed to gather input from the entire school community, identify best practices and areas for growth, and present findings to the IBO.  The overall effort is to provide a vehicle for schools and IB North America to review and assess the health of a given program.

Fairview is among those schools scheduled to complete the evaluation during the 2007-08 school year; the self-study should be completed and submitted to IB North America by October 1, 2008.  Although this date seems very far away, in order to maximize the value of the process and get the greatest benefit from the effort, it is in our interest as a school community to start this process now.

Toward this end, we are asking all Fairview IB students (regardless of level of participation in the program), parents, support staff, teachers, and administrators to provide input to the process.

How can you take part?
There are three ways for you to actively participate in the process:

1.  Attend any of the meetings listed on the Self-Study Time Table and Tasks document. Most meetings are open to the entire Fairview community, so please plan to attend.

2.  Complete an on-line survey at your convenience sometime between January 7, 2008 and March 11.  Getting significant survey participation will be important to the overall five-year review process.  Instructions on how to complete the survey are below.

3.  Send your comments about Fairview's IB program (good and bad) via general correspondence.   Fairview IB Program
